teaching

The philosophy that guides my approach to teaching is grounded in transparency. I strive to be a thoughtful mentor in the hope that I’ll inspire in my students the same enthusiasm for learning that has driven my own career. I value collaboration, experimentation, and honesty in the classroom and in the field.

When designing courses, I prioritize creating accessible resources that have the potential to engage diverse audiences in conversations about the past, and it is for this reason that I’m excited to share my teaching materials on this site. I’m grateful to my colleagues who have shared their own resources in the past, and to my students who have provided invaluable feedback over the years. It is my hope that these materials can offer a strong foundation for others moving forward.
